Moons of 2022

Waxing, waning, crescent, full — the Moon is always dazzling. I try, but have not yet succeeded, to capture every full Moon in a year. Maybe next year!

January’s Full Wolf Moon
February’s Full Snow Moon
March’s Full Worm Moon
April’s Full Pink Moon

Travels in May prevented a photo of May’s Full Flower Moon, which was also a total lunar eclipse in North America.

June’s Full Strawberry Super Moon

Cloudy summer nights prevented a view of July’s Full Buck Moon.

August’s Full Sturgeon Moon
September’s Full Harvest Moon
October’s Full Hunter Moon

November’s crisp, clear nights meant several gorgeous views of the Moon, plus a wonderful view of the Total Lunar Eclipse.

November’s Waxing Gibbous Moon
November’s Full Beaver Moon
November’s Total Lunar Eclipse
December’s Full Cold Moon
To round out the year, December’s Full Cold Moon through a Christmas tree topper

Happy Holidays and may your New Year be bright!
